OK here we go again. Things seem to be heading in the right direction to date. The divisions are shaping up nicely for the most part. Playoff battles for seeding continue to look good. TSL is having another decent session. 

Where do we go from here? Who will be in and who will be out? What happens next?

Let's pick some games......

DIVISION #1

#XTC +7 VS PUBLIC ENEMY: This is usually a very entertaining game. I am curious to see how PE does after having literally a month off. This could cause some huge issues on offense for them. PE is a tad more balanced than #XTC but these two teams know each other well. This game should be close. One mistake by one QB or the other could be the difference in this game.  PUBLIC ENEMY BY 1

BOMBERS VS VARSITY BLUES +6:VB has been a hot mess but rumors swirl one of their stars might be back for this one. VB will be a completely different squad if Burr returns but I fear no one in D1 with the exception of Nate Wilkinson can go with Bloomfield. That actually makes me wonder will Wilkinson be suited up for this one? I'm not ready to jump back on the VB train yet until I see a tad more from them first.  BOMBERS BY 8

HOSTILE TAKE OVER +8 VS EYES DOWNTOWN:  ED was shocked last week by THREAD and will be coming to town hopping mad this week. They still are wicked fast and wicked skilled. I fear ED will just coast up and down the field and HT will blink first as their QB is more prone to the mental lapse than ED. This would be a big week for the HT girls to take over but rumors swirl one of them is a tad "under the weather" and might not play.  EYES DOWNTOWN BY 10

VARSITY BLUES +3 VS HOSTILE TAKEOVER: On paper this is a great game but no one knows who is in or out for VB. HT has been an up and down roller coaster this session. At times they have looked like they can run with anyone and other times they look lost and bewildered. VB has not been very good and will need their franchise player more than ever as they will frantically try to get back into the race as we head down the stretch. I have no clue how this one ends. It really could go either way.  HOSTILE TAKE OVER BY 3

EYES DOWNTOWN VS PUBLIC ENEMY PICK EM:  This is one of the more eagerly anticipated games of the season between two of the best teams in the game today. Each knows the other well. ED is speed personified and are battle tested. PE has that offense and are capable of anything. This game will draw a crowd and this game will be a slug fest from beginning to end. Each team has taken the other to task in the past expect hell fire and brimstone in       this one.  EYES DOWNTOWN BY 3

DIVISION  #2

NO MOHR DUBEY VS BAD APPLES +3: BA look to have finally turned a corner last week but was that because of them or the inferior opponent they faced? NMD has been an up and down squad. They are talented on both sides of the ball but lack the high powered offense that some of the other D2 squads have. NMD can run with many but will not be a good match up with some of the jumpers on BA. I see BA having their way with   the NMD secondary. This could be an upset game. BA could be starting to get hot at the right time. BAD APPLES BY 3

THE REPLACEMENTS +10 VS WITTER'S: TR has not looked good this session and Witter's look right at home in D2. Witters are a super smart super balanced squad that offer all kinds of match up head aches. They ave a solid QB decent girls and a very good supporting cast. TR will struggle once again and really needs a trip down to D3 at this point in the game.  WITTERS BY 9

GRAY AND ASSOCIATES +8 VS ANGRY BUFFALO: AB looks light years ahead of everyone in D2.  Their QB looks to be playing in a different stratosphere right now. They will have a big girl edge in this one but do not have the QB edge or the guy edge in this game. Until someone proves other wise AB has looked down right dominating and probably takes this one too. ANGRY BUFFALO BY 9

TIGHT ENDS IN MOTION VS WITTER'S +3:   This one should be very good. TEIM are a text book team that just flat out play football. Witter's are one of the smartest team on the game that run a system and turn it well. This easily could be a D2 semi game so these 2 cats better get a look at one another as they probably will be seeing each other again real soon. This game could go either way. I expect a back and forth classic in this one that should be close to the very end. TIGHT ENDS IN MOTION BY 1

DIVISION #3

"THE" MICKEY RATS VS 1 TOPPER TOO MANY +3: This is one of the better games on the schedule all season.  TMR have been awesome to date as they have rolled through almost every team the TSL has trotted in front of them. Team Topper has looked very impressive. They are doing it this session with balance. They have played smart and they are quick and they are doing well all in spite of Topper. Will this be the Topper's crowning achievement? Can he throw Team Topper onto his back and will them to victory this week on the grandest of stages? That is one good question. Their fight will not be easy as TMR is dialed in on offense. TT better make sure their defense is ready to run as I  sense a track meet game quickly approaches.       I predict a tie

STICKY BANDITS VS COBBLESTONE +9: Is there no man in this league perhaps in history more valuable than Darryl Carr QB Superstar? CS looks lost and terrible when their leader is not in attendance. SB are a solid team top to bottom. They play a very smart very methodical style that translates into more wins than losses. SB is a solid squad and CS will need to make sure they are ready to play on defense. I still wonder if this is the week Darryl Carr says enough is enough and makes his debut on defense. Darryl Carr is leader that  leads by example. The only way to improve struggling defense is to play defense yourself and show them how its done.  STICKY BANDITS BY 11

DMX +6 VS SHOWTIME: Showtime was on top of the world last week and this week they are totally up against it as a huge threat comes to town. This game should be bedlam folks. DMX can score on anyone. Incidentally so can Ricky FN Austin. I expect a barn burner and an offensive clinic. Showtime will just shake off last week. Teams get lucky so did Team Topper its OK. Showtime should show up this week ready for war and war they will get. If you love offense this game is for you. I expect 80 points at least in what should be one of the more entertaining games of the day.  SHOWTIME BY 1

DIVISION #4

WHY SO SERIOUS VS HUNG BUFFALO +8: HB is not having a good time these past few weeks. It looks like they were the product of an early easy schedule. Things don't get any easier as the un-defeated WSS comes to town. WSS is balanced on both sides of the ball and they boast the best girl in D4, a decent QB and a solid supporting cast. WSS is a tad more balanced than Hung Buffalo and should take this one  rather easily Saturday.  WHY SO SERIOUS BY 10

HUNG BUFFALO +6 VS COME FROM BEHIND: CFB is off to a nice solid start. They are doing very well scoring on offense and they are playing very solid defense. Hung Buffalo started out 3-0 but has dropped their last 2. This week they must face WSS and CFB which could mean they could easily be 3-4 by days end. There will be a ton of pressure on HB to fight through this funk and get back int he race. CFB has a dialed in offense stopping them will be easier said than done. COME FROM BEHIND BY 4

BREW CREW +10 VS A&A: A&A is once again having a decent session. They are a very difficult team to defend as their "plate of spaghetti" offense is nearly impossible to figure out hell they can't even figure it out. BC is off to a respectable 2-2 start but they haven't been overly impressive when they have the ball. You wont be able to beat A&A unless you can score and score quickly. BC just doesn't have enough to keep up with an offense that is light years ahead of them. A&A BY 11

INDECENT EXPOSURE +8 VS COME FROM BEHIND:  IE has been battling injuries so far this session and does not look dialed in like normal. IE is a very solid team that is smart balanced and methodical. CFB will be coming to town looking to build on early season momentum. Their QB is as good as any in this division.  CFB should score early and often in this one. In time IE will compete at a very high level in D4 when they get all their horses back. For now they will struggle to keep up with an offense that is better than theirs. Patience is a virtue....COME FROM BEHIND BY 10

DIVISION #5

IRON BUTTERFLIES +11 VS THE BAMBS: The Bambs looked totally dialed in right now and could be the D5 favorites right now. IB have looked better than in years past but they still struggle on offense and they will struggle big time this week with a team that is just solid allover the field. TB have size speed vet savvy and a very under rated QB. IB will bring the fight but they are really aren't any march for a team that looks like they want the D5 title more than ever. THE BAMBS BY 13

ALL WE DO IS QWINN VS CHIX N DIX +14: AWDIQ looks like D5 is where they should be. Hopefully this will put to bed all the nay sayers that were clamoring for AWDIQ to move up to like D4.  CND is a really bad team that probably should be in D6 like right now if they could. They are pretty bad on offense and even worse on defense. AWDIQ will score early and often in route to a very easy victory. Don't worry CND there are only a few more weeks to go.  ALL WE DO IS QWINN BY 17

3RD AND SCHLONG +3 VS HOPE N RUIN: Hope N Ruin takes on Kevin FN Keller and the under rated 3rd and Schlong. Ever since they dialed those 7 magical digits 3rd and Schlong and more importantly the Keller Clan have been soaking up the bright lights in the big city. But one question remains. Will they throw Kevin FN Keller a TD pass? HNR will bring the fight but the world will be cheering as one for 3rd and Schlong in this one.. We also will be contacting Hometech soon to get the grudge match from hell set up at a later date this season. How kool would it be if that game could be played on the deck of a Norwegian Cruise line with Danica McKellar as the celebrity coin flipper?    HOPE N RUIN BY 1

SHAKE N BAKE STAMPEDE  VS SANTORAS +7: Santora's usually are a pretty decent team but they really haven't been overly impressive so far. SNB is about where you figured they would be. They are a decent squad but they just don't seem to have the extra gear the top teams in the division have. This game should be good and it should be close but both teams need to kick their games up a nickel if they want to be any kind of threat come playoff time. SANTORA'S BY 4

DEMBOYZ +6 VS CUPCAKE: Demboyz flat out didn't bring it last week. I assume they were missing people because they have been way better than that all session. Cupcake looks to be one of the top teams in D5. They are balanced they have size and speed and continue to beat pretty much everyone they play. Demboyz are a pretty good team but they will struggle with a team that is this balanced. Cupcake should win this one running away. CUPCAKE BY 8

SHAKE N BAKE STAMPEDE +7 VS THE BAMBS : SNB is 2-1 and life is good. They are a decent team that lacks the extra gear. TB are friggin killing it on offense and defense. This is a very solid test for SNB. If they want to know if they truly are close to a D5 title this is the week they will find out. The class of D5 is heading their way and will want nothing but total destruction of SNB. I fear SNb will not have the horses to go with the Bambs in this one. THE BAMBS BY 9

DIVISION #6

CELINO SEWER RATS +14 VS ACE: ACE literally is crushing each and every team that faces them week after week. This week will be no different. ACE has few holes. They boast speed they boast solid females and they have a very heady QB that wants his turn with the trophy.  CSR is doing OK but they really aren't in the same class as ACE right now. Take ACE as they will score early and often in this one. ACE BY 17

RSS LADIES VS THE PRACTICE SQUAD +4: TPS finally got their first win last week. In time TPS will be a very tough team to beat in D6. They have 2 of the better girls in the division,. They have talent on both sides of the ball they just have not figured out the nuances of the game yet. When they do look out. RSS Ladies are doing OK but haven't exactly been overly impressive so far. They know this game pretty well and should beat a team that is still trying to find their way in this division. RSS LADIES BY 6

SANTA'S SECRET SAUCE VS COLLEGIATE SOLAR +7: Solar is light years ahead of where they were last year. (did you see how I made a pun about light years and collegiate solar that was kinda awesome yay me). SSS has been an up and down roller coaster. The prophet the most honorable David Walter has told us to not lose faith in the sauce He is told us that they will be in the running wen the playoff start. I for one will believe him. As for the game CS is a decent squad that has improved but SSS takes this one running way if you ask me.  SANTA'S SECRET SAUCE BY 6

FOOTBALLS DEEP +11 VS THE TOMMY HUGHES EXPERIENCE : FD is not a very good team right now and THE needs a slump buster wicked bad right now. I have been told by THE management that THE has lost their way and will do everything in their power this week to get back to being the fun team we have all come to love. I only can imagine that THE will tell Ford to stay home if this is what they truly want to happen. THE will win this game but seriously you guys need to chill relax and remember what you used to be. THE is a fun team not a grumpy team. THE TOMMY HUGHES EXPERIENCE BY 8

MATTY'S ANGELS VS THE MCKENZIE AGENCY +8: I was very excited for this game when the schedule came out this week but I am being told that MA will be very short handed this week. This is good news for TMA but bad news if you are a MA fan. MA have been dialed in right now and have their first true test of the season. TMA have been wicked good on both sides of the ball and they are now a serious and legitimate threat each and every week. Whether MA was at full strength or no strength TMA was bringing the fight this week. TMA and MA not only are 2 of the best teams in D6 they are easily the 2 funnest teams in the division.   THE MCKENZIE AGENCY BY 3

5 QUESTIONS FOR SATURDAY

1. What the heck is wrong with Cobblestone? Darryl Carr QB Superstar is man among men, a star that shines brighter than any other but WTF is happening?  Cobblestone is 1-4 and is averaging 46 points against on defense. I mean there really is only one question to ask... will Darryl Carr QB Superstar become Darryl Carr Safety Superstar now too? Things don't get any easier as this week Sticky Bandits come to town.

2. Is Hung Buffalo about to head for a free fall? The won their first 3 but lost their last 2. They now must face Come From Behind and Why So Serious this week. The schedule guy was really nice to them early but oh man has he been mean to them the past few weeks. HB could be in big trouble by days end this Saturday. 

3. Will The Tommy Hughes Experience make good on their promise and re-kindle fun Tommy Hughes Experience this week? THE needs a personality make over and they need it fast. One of my field reporters had a chance to sit down with a THE player this week and sed player sed this "We will rally this week."

4. Will Varsity Blues get back in the D1 race or is Burr coming back too soon? VB has been an hot mess the past few weeks and needs help. I am hearing rumbles Burr is back. If so VB could be a team to watch down the stretch.

5. Can anyone stop the Bambs? They look dialed in right now and have 2 more games they should take rather easily. Is there time finally now?

10 final thoughts before game day

1.  The game I have my eye on this week is in D3 where "THE" Mickey Rats has at it with 1 Topper Too Many this week. This one is for all the marbles folks as each team is on fire. MR are scoring at will and playing solid defense. For some weird reason Team Topper is dialed in and they to have shown an ability to score pretty much at will but they have played even better on D. If you like good match ups this one is for you. It has been a while since Team Topper has been involved in a "prime time game" where the lights and many eyes will be all over them.  It is looking like D3 is turning into a 3 horse race with the 2 favorites squaring off Saturday.  

2.  ACE looks to be taking D6 faster than Grant took Richmond but Matty's Angels have been no slouch either this session. They finally get a test this week as The McKenzie Agency comes to town . TMA is 4-1 and has looked impressive. I am not trying to take anything away from the Angels but they have had a very very easy schedule the past 3-4 weeks with little to no threats thrown their way. I will be very curious to see how they fare in this one. If they crush TMA then its game on, but if this game is close maybe no on will be able to stop the wrecking ball known as ACE.

3. Public Enemy VS Eyes Downtown is always a treat as both teams are about as good as it gets in this league. The long and storied rivalry starts up again this time at 2:00.  ED got shocked last week against THREAD but they will come to town loaded and ready for war on both sides of the ball. PE has literally not played in almost a month and one can only wonder how that will affect them. This game should be bedlam as it quite honestly could be the most anticipated game of the year. 

4.  I am very interested to take a gander at the Tight Ends in Motion vs Witter's game this week. Both squads just flat out show up and play football. Both make few mistakes and just play a very smart very solid game. It will be very interesting to see how this translate against each other. Both teams could be seeing the other again real soon.  

5. If you like offense find your way over to the DMX VS Showtime battle this week. I see a track meet brewing in this one as each team is known for their offense. I love track meet games. Bet the over in this one.

6.  Bombers are quickly becoming a team in this league that people don't like. Not because of on the field antics mind you but off the field antics. Guys if you cant make a game don't just not show up. Instead of emailing people at 938 am on Saturday why don't you call or email Topper on Friday night. If you know you cant play Saturday morning you know you cant play on Friday as well. Maybe now is the time to sign up for the telegram app so you can contact Topper directly or just walk up to him and ask him for his phone number. I mean it is week #7 and stuff.....

7. If I had to take a guess in breakfast club I would say: Share Bears 33 Val Pals 24  Angry Tailors 29 Nice TDS 21  Peanut Butter Kelly Time 34 Subtle Chelsie's 20

8.  I am very interested to see how Angry Buffalo vs GNA turns out. AB looks awesome on both sides of the ball and have a QB that is playing out of his mind right ow. Can AB keep it up? Will GNA be the team to slow them down?
