The New Revised schedule for Winter session is shown on the "Football: Schedule/Results" tab of the website.  Note that several games were changed to accommodate the cancellation of Week 2 as a result of the Bills playoff game.

 

Rosters are now LOCKED and captains will not be able to add additional players to their teams.  If something comes up and a player gets hurt, moves away, their job schedule changes etc and you need to add another player permanently, please let us know and we will work to help you find a suitable (but athletically inferior!) replacement.  Otherwise the process for requesting weekly subs remains the same: Sub requests must be emailed to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. throughout the week.  If something happens and you're short-handed on game day, one of the League staff on site will appoint you a sub, but it will likely be someone of SIGNIFICANTLY worse quality than the player you're missing, so don't count on showing up and grabbing a star athlete at the last minute.  You will not be able to choose your own sub.

 

The format of the League will be the same as last year: a single division with the top 8 teams making the playoffs (usual outdoor tiebreaker rules apply).  Rules of the game itself remain the same as our last outdoor session, with the usual indoor caveats if the ball hits a hanging wire (down is replayed) or the roof (dead ball, incomplete pass).

 

Our "official" sponsor bar this year will be Brownie's Sports Bar and Tavern located at 775 Oliver Street, North Tonawanda NY 14120.  They have a great menu for food and drinks, a secret pool table in the back room, and anyone from our League can ask for the Happy Hour specials at any time.

 

If there are any unforeseen game cancellations throughout the season (facility closes, driving bans in place, COVID requirements change) we will be sending updates through this email address (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) and also over the Telegram app, where we'll create a group chat for winter captains and TSL leadership.  If you don't have the Telegram app already, PLEASE download it today as that is really the fastest way for us to reach you all if needed.

 

As far as Sportsplex COVID regulations are concerned, this is the current facility policy (subject to change of course as facility and county policies evolve):

 

Prior To Arriving To Your Game/Team Practice:

·  Check your temperature at home (Any Temperatures above 100 degrees Fahrenheit will be prohibited from attending any Sportsplex Activities)

·  Sanitize all equipment (including but not limited to Uniform, Shoes, Shin Guards, Socks, Bag etc).

·  Ensure you are not experiencing any COVID-19 Symptoms (Temperature over 100, Respiratory Issues, Cough, Difficulty Breathing, Chills, Loss of Taste or Smell, Muscle Aches) or have come in contact with anyone who has been confirmed to have COVID-19 or suspected to have COVID-19 Symptoms. 

·  If you or any teammates are experiencing or have come in contact with someone who has any COVID-19 Symptoms, please be sure to follow all health related protocols and inform us right away via email, Telegram, text or phone call (you can reach Jeff Krol at 716-480-5074 or Joe K at 716-861-8699).

Once You Arrive to Sportsplex:

·  Proper Face Coverings are required while at Sportsplex.

·  Proper Face Coverings are mandatory for all guests two (2) and older while on the Property of Sportsplex Inc.  The only exception is if there is a medical concern or at special times during the Scheduled Game or Practice the face covering is deemed intolerable by the Referee or Player.  During those unique circumstances, the face covering may then be pulled down below the chin.

  1. All players must be 21 years of age and over to play.
  2. All Players Must Have a new signed waiver on file for the calendar year, please fill it out here https://waiver.fr/p-3oVY2

  4. Check the football page for divisions/standings and upcoming games/results.  
  5. For those of you new to the league, be sure to check out the Godfathers page.  There you will find insights into this weeks games and predictions as well.  Very good reading entertainment can be found here!
  6. Substitutions -please send an email to the sublist master by the Thursday before your game regarding using subs. (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.)
  7. You and your teammates are encouraged to sign up for our telegram channel, https://t.me/toppersports it’s the first place we’ll announce if there are any cancellations and other league news.
  8. The best way to get a hold of Topper is through telegram:  https://t.me/PatrickMcG  this is preferred over normal text messaging. 
  9. Team Fees for Fall and Spring Season. Payment will be due in Full upon registration

·        Team Fee: $450

·        Forfeit Fee: $50

·        Total Amount due: $500

·        (note- if you did not forfeit a game in the previous season, the $50 forfeit fee will be reimbursed at the end of the season, or carried over to your next season registration)

·        If you are unable to field a team for the upcoming week, you must notify us by 5pm on the Thursday prior to your game to avoid being charged the $50 forfeit fee.

  1. Schedule Requests: Teams will be limited to only 2 schedule requests this season.  (game times will be 10am, 11am, noon, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm) Early games are considered 10-12, late games are considered 1-3pm.  After you have registered and paid, you may then send in your schedule requests.  Please do so in a separate email with your team name and division in the subject line

11.   Topper Sports reserves the right to alter divisions as necessary based on registrations, knowledge of rosters, and competitiveness of individuals.

    1. Topper Sports reserves the right to move a team from one division into another division more suitable of their competitiveness

Updated Guidelines

§  The TSL and The Angry Buffalo will have Covid-19 guidelines in place and posted at the fields, all players MUST have a mask, and follow the posted instructions on when they must wear their mask. There won’t be any tolerance for players and patrons who don’t follow the posted guidelines. 

§  We have put together a group of volunteers to help manage the game day experience

  • Volunteers: Joe K, Valerie Bernal, Travis Clevenger, Jay Jaskier, Emily Curry and Jeff Krol
  • I have asked them to help make sure players are checking in, entering the fields and exiting the fields in the designated areas
  • They will be wearing orange shirts in honor of Rameer
  • They will be enforcing our guidelines.
  • Please make sure your players/teammates have masks or they will not be able to play.  Games will not be held up because players aren’t signing in on time
  • Please do not be disrespectful to them, any rude behavior will not be tolerated.

§  Prior to entering the fields, all players must sign into our Covid Tracing App.  There will be signs posted with a QR code that will take you to this form https://toppersports.com/covid/ where you and your teammates will have to sign in, and answer the questions.  It’s quick, and it’s necessary!!

§  Teams may start to enter the fields 10 minutes prior to their game time, so please make sure you have checked in on the app.

§  Please practice social distancing: do not warn up where other teams have congregated, please wait for the teams playing prior to your game to leave the field before entering the field.

§  Masks must be worn when entering the fields.  There will be a designated field entrance area, and a designated field exit area.  Please use the entrance and exit areas as intended.  The field entrance will be located near my truck(for those of you who have played before) for those new to the league, look for the Silver ford explorer.

§  The Rosegarden has setup a lot of outdoor seating for us, please be patient with their staff, and understand that food must be ordered when purchasing alcohol.  Please follow the current restaurant covid policy’s, face mask must be worn until you are seated.  Do not table jump, meaning if you have friends at a table nearby, do not walk over to them without a mask. 

§  Spectators are allowed at the fields and should be seated or standing behind the endzones. no Spectatprs are allowed on the sidelines. 

§  There is expanded parking behind the bar, so please park up against the tree lines, and make sure to leave room for cars to get out. (see attached layout)

§  Dogs are permitted, must be accompanied by an adult and on a leash at all times, and obviously, not permitted in the bar area or the fields.

§  While playing you do not have to wear a mask, however we do encourage that gaiter scarfs be worn if at all possible.

§  I encourage all players download the telegram messaging app and join our channel, this is the fastest way for us to update everyone on league news and events
